Ultra Scarce Carson City Mint Morgan Silver Dollars
These long-lost Carson City Morgan Dollars were discovered in a government vault back in 1964. Seven years later, they were packaged in tamper-proof holders and sold to the general public by the GSA (Government Services Administration). Still in their original “GSA” packaging, each of these coins has been certified by NGC to be in MS (Mint State) 62 condition–these sealed, graded coins have never been tampered with.
Minted out of .900 fine silver from the legendary Comstock Lode near Carson City, Nevada, these coins bear the rare and distinctive “CC” mint mark on the reverse. Because the Carson City mint was in business for only 13 short years, Morgan Dollars bearing the double C mint mark are the rarest of them all, comprising less than 2% of all Morgan Dollars ever minted. Truly a treasure for the discriminating coin collector.
