MS65 1938 Buffalo Nickel - Last Year of Issue
The Buffalo (or Indian Head) nickel has always been one of America’s favorite coins. After a 25 year mint run, the last of these historic coins were struck in 1938 at the Denver mint. The coin is notable for its bold, beautiful renditions of a proud American Indian chief on the front and a plains Bison on the reverse. We have obtained a small supply of 1938-D Buffalo nickels in highly-collectible MS65 grade. At just $129.95, this is a tremendous value compared to higher grades of the same coin. For example, MS67 specimens sell for almost $300 and MS68 specimens sell for nearly $15,000! Each coin has been graded by the respected PCGS and comes sealed in a tamper-proof holder with a free velveteen display box.
