Complete Satin Finish Eagles Set 2006-2008 Plus 2011

“Satin Finish” Silver Eagles were issued for just three years only–in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Now, in 2011, the United States Mint has reissued this popular coin which is struck on specially burnished coin blanks to create its characteristic “Satin Finish”. This complete 4-coin set of Satin Finish Silver Eagle Dollars are in their original government packaging for preservation and protection. All four coins bear the "W" mint mark of the West Point Mint.

Although they are similar in appearance to Silver Eagle Bullion coins, these uncirculated coins are distinguished by the presence of a mint mark and by the use of burnished coin blanks, which are hand-fed into specially-adapted coining presses one at a time. Mintages for these coins are much lower than the comparative bullion mintages.

The Silver Eagle is minted from one ounce of .9993 pure silver, making it the largest, heaviest and purest silver coin in U.S. history. The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's famous "Walking Liberty" design that first appeared on U.S. Silver Half Dollars from 1916-1947.
