2012 Canadian Cougar Silver Coin - MS70 Grade

FREE Hardwood Display Box (a $15 value)

The Royal Canadian Mint released the third coin in its Canadian Wildlife Series with this .9999 fine one-ounce silver bullion 2012 "Cougar" issue.  Struck at the Mint's Ottawa facility, the entire production will be limited to just one million Cougar coins.  These coins are certified Inaugural Strike, with a strict Limited Edition of 148 pieces.  They have been graded in perfect MS70 condition which is the highest grade a coin can achieve.  Coins of this quality have absolutely NO flaws, so they look perfect to the naked eye. Containing one ounce of .9999 fine silver, these are the world’s purest silver bullion coins.

The reverse of the 2012 Cougar silver coin features a solitary cat with its front paws perched on the fallen branch of a tree.  Its jaw is wide-open, as if a roar is about to be heard, and shows the potentially dangerous teeth within.  The design is surrounded by the inscriptions of CANADA, 9999, FINE SILVER, 1 OZ and ARGENT PUR.  The artist's initials, Senior Canadian Mint Engraver William Woodruff, ("WW") are also shown.  The obverse side features an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, created in 2003 by Canadian portrait artist Susanna Blunt.  Inscriptions include ELIZABETH II, 5 DOLLARS and 2012.
