2011 National Parks Quarters Clad Proofs - PR70 Grade

The U.S. Mint’s “America the Beautiful” Quarters Program is a multi-year initiative honoring 56 national parks and other national sites in each state, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories.  Under this program, five new reverse designs will appear on the quarter-dollar each year.  The coins will be issued in the order in which the featured site was first established as a national park or site.  The first five coins to be released in 2011 are: GETTYSBURG NATIONAL MILITARY PARK, GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK, VICKSBURG NATIONAL MILITARY PARK. and CHICKSAW NATIONAL RECREATION AREA.

We arranged for the very best Inaugural Strike coins to be immediately graded for quality, and the coins offered here have been independently certified by ANACS as in perfect Proof 70 (abbreviated PR70) condition.  What’s more, the coins have a Deep Cameo finish which is the highest level of Proof quality.  As a result, these are truly gem coins that literally cannot be improved upon.

Proof coins are struck at least twice on highly polished coin blanks to bring out the mirrored background and high-relief images.  These coins are also certified as Inaugural Strikes, from the first day of release at the Mint.  The combination of the Inaugural Strike designation and the PR70 grade makes this set a true collector's treasure.  However, there are only 157 coin sets available and when they’re gone, no more will be certified as Inaugural Strike.
