1st Eisenhower Anthony and Sacagawea Dollars Set
This set includes first-year-of-issue Eisenhower (1971), Susan B. Anthony (1979), and Sacagawea (2000) dollars. All three first-year coins are in original Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
The Eisenhower Dollar was America’s last large-size Dollar coin ever minted for circulation. The obverse features a portrait of Dwight D. Eisenhower, the World War II hero and U.S. President from 1953-1961. The reverse is an adaptation of the official Apollo 11 mission patch. It shows an American eagle landing on the moon, with the Earth above its head.
The Anthony Dollar was America’s first small-size Dollar coin and the first circulating coin to feature an identifiable woman. It depicts Susan B. Anthony (1820-1906), the woman’s rights pioneer whose work led to the 19th Amendment to the Constitution that assures women the right to vote. The reverse is the same as the Eisenhower Dollar.
The Sacagawea Dollar is America’s first golden coin. It was the first circulating coin to feature an identifiable Native American. It depicts Sacagawea, the Native American guide who accompanied the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1804-1806 on their quest to find a route to the Pacific Ocean. The reverse features an American eagle in flight, as well as 17 stars to symbolize the 17 states in the Union in 1804.
The three-coin set is displayed in a custom coin wallet with a Certificate of Authenticity.
